AADHAAR Photograph Update Online

When applying for new AADHAAR enrolment, only facial photograph is taken for kids below 5 years age; iris scan and fingerprints scan is not be captured. These children will need to update their biometrics of iris scan, fingerprints scan and facial photograph, when they turn 5 and one more time when they turn 15 years age. Also as the applicant age, his / her facial look may change significantly and make it difficult to verify identity. Sometimes the facial photograph may not come out as expected or is not satisfactory for the applicant. In such situations applicant can update his / her facial photograph in AADHAAR.

Applicant can request facial photograph update in AADHAAR as many times as needed by physically going to AADHAAR enrolment / update centre. There is no cap on how many times facial photograph change can be requested in AADHAAR.

AADHAAR Photograph Update at Centre

To update facial photograph in AADHAAR, applicant will have to be physically present at a nearby AADHAAR enrolment / update centre. Click here for the list of AADHAAR centres near you. Applicant can simply walk in to any nearby AADHAAR enrolment / update centre with his / her AADHAAR and authenticate using his / her biometrics to change / update facial photograph in AADHAAR.

For kids who update their biometrics of iris scan, fingerprints scan and facial photograph, when they turn 5 and one more time when they turn 15 years age, no update fees is charged. Rest of the applicants will be charged Rs. 50 to update their facial photograph in AADHAAR. This facial photograph update processing fees is non-refundable.
