Submitting AADHAAR update request does not guarantee update in AADHAAR. The AADHAAR change / update request can get rejected if there are any mistakes either in the submitted form and / or in the document. To avoid AADHAAR change / update request rejection read the following guide carefully.
For online name, address and date of birth change / correction request in AADHAAR, if documents submitted online are not acceptable, the corresponding online name, address and date of birth update / correction request in AADHAAR will get rejected and the applicant will see the status as update request rejected for invalid documents. The Proof of Identity document submitted for name change, the Proof of Address document submitted for address change and the Proof of Date of Birth document submitted for date of birth change, must be from the list of documents for AADHAAR update. Document submitted should meet the following guidelines:
Name (minor correction only), Address and Date of Birth correction requires scanned copy of the original supporting document. Please make sure that the supporting document is in your name and valid. If you are providing a certificate in UIDAI standard format, please check for common mistakes like Issue date, Crossed sign, Stamp across Photo and No Overwriting to avoid rejection of the request.
